Data migration is a key component of a successful M&A project. For M&A, data migration is especially challenging, as data is being migrated from a set of systems and business processes to a new set of systems, with their own process flows. We will share solutions to commonly faced issues in managing the overall migration process that covers the overall life cycle of a typical M&A project. We will focus on data governance methods, master and transaction data challenges and tools/technology that we used for 12+ migration projects.
