Data migration is a key component of a successful M&A project. For M&A, data migration is especially challenging, as data is being migrated from a set of systems and business processes to a new set of systems, with their own process flows. We will share solutions to commonly faced issues in managing the overall migration process that covers the overall life cycle of a typical M&A project. We will focus on data governance methods, master and transaction data challenges and tools/technology that we used for 12+ migration projects.

Srikant Dharwad is an Enterprise Architect at Lexmark working on the Data Governance Program. Prior to joining Lexmark, he has been part of several data management initiatives at several Fortune 500 companies.

Ed Buhler is the Manager of the Integration Management Office at Lexmark International. He has 20+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Project Management and Front Office systems.
