This presentation will take you through the ERwin FET editor, demonstrating navigation, modifying and reviewing the output, and identifying the areas and components necessary to generate DDL for the hive.

We'll be focusing on the following areas:

  • Insert, Alter, and Drop clauses
  • Optional clauses and macros
  • Navigating the "Stack"
  • Conditional execution
  • The output window

Dean Geary is a database developer, architect and data modeler with 25 plus years experience. He has worked primarily in the Oracle realm, but at IHG he has taken on the task of modeling for the hive.
